The Shrines and Fukushu En Park

Do you ever have one of those moments when life seems to pass you with the speed of a super sonic hedgehog? Me either, but it makes a good visual for how it feels. This year we spent our New Year in Okinawa at some shrines and Fukushu En Park. It went by quickly, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Here are a few pictures from the shrines:

The morsels below look great. I am sure people like them. It honestly had the consistency of a hard marshmallow jello and filled with sweetened mashed bean. I did not know that until I ate one. Needless to say it was a cultural experience.

The second place we visited was Fukushu En Park. It was a great place to spend the afternoon and relax while celebrating the new year.

All in all, it was a fun day spent with family and friends in a new place. I hope as you welcome in the new year you have as much fun as we did.
